I love Rachel Naomi Remen's stories. I searched one of her talks shared on youtube earlier this week and the story about her grandfather's cup of dirt gift was just what the soul doctor ordered! I am deeply grateful for my personal take away, the power and magic of faithful consistent effort, especially in the face of seemingly 'no results'. Plus in this episode some expanding on morning routine practice ideas, and which one I'm recommitting to wiring as a new habit. AKA committing to 66 consecutive days, because according to a study that Robin Sharma quotes, that's how long it takes to truly wire a new habit. Oh me oh my! Here we go again! 174. What if.....you lived each day with a greater awareness that your time on earth is limited?

Once upon a time, a conversation inspired a blessing. It was a conversation with an online student I tutor whose 2 year abroad study program is nearing an end. More on the podcast! If all the Batelle sleep school did was support parents in learning how to settle their kids in bed within 5 minutes or less, and have them sleeping through the night, with a no cry-it-out method, within 2 weeks, guaranteed, it would be phenomenal. What's amazing is that they are about so much more! They are about teaching core life skills through this process. Like how feeling safe and trusting in a process, is the essential foundation for making empowering choices. Not to mention self-regulation and resilience. Incredible! Waterbear engages and inspires viewers to connect to organizations they resonate with and take action towards a brighter, regenerative future. Their soulfully created content starts from a few minutes to full length documentaries, series and originals. It's a fantastic destination for some authentic inspiration. Plus they are in process of their B Corp certification.

171. MATTER OF TRUST: How your hair cut (and your pet‘s) can clean the oceans and more.

Celebrating the action takers and innovators! From hairstylist Phil McCrory to Matter of Trust's co-founder, Lisa Gautier. Phil was inspired to see if the hair clippings from his salon could be used to clean up oil spills. In 1998 he partnered with eco-non profit, Matter of Trust, and the seeds were planted for the Clean Wave Program. The Matter of Trust team is passionate about linking 'surplus with need' and every day they take action towards a world in which humans live in harmony with nature.
